Café de Seoul

Aside from gaining riches, pursuing dreams, and attaining personal ambitions, people need fulfillment. And perhaps there is no greater fulfillment in life than finding someone who can open your locks, read you thoroughly, and make you feel entirely whole, as if nothing in your life ever felt empty.

Soulmates? Though not everyone believe or has ever met them in this lifetime, I have faith they exist, and could be just somewhere near the arrival or departure corner of your life.

I guess there will be certain people you will encounter, relate and connect with you deeply, intensely more than anyone else.

This person might be someone so unexpected who has the power to turn your whole world upside down.

Or make you smile, I mean really really smile, even in times that you are broken.

But soulmate is not all the time your significant other. He could be just your annoying brother.

A friend who sat silently by your side, the time you really needed someone.

Or maybe the girl you promised to love forever but got away.

They say someone must possess certain elements before they can become your soulmate. Like they keep your fire burning and your soul awake.

They are one of the reasons why it’s bearable to wake up every morning.

They understand and accept you despite your true colors and imperfections.

And make your life come full happy circle.

I know people have different needs and priorities but they all have one common goal and that is to find true happiness. I pray there is someone for everyone. So that I stop seeing people lost and unhappy.

And start seeing more flowers bloom, wonderful weirdness unfold, and another two less lonely creatures in the world.

And to those still searching, I hope one day, unfailingly, you find someone who can change your life, not just your relationship status.

Someone you can trust to unlock and reach far into your heart.

Because according to Brault what we find in soulmate is not something wild to tame but something wild to run with.

And once your path crossed, you can’t ever imagine living your life, not even for a day, without him or her. After all, he or she was the only one who filled your void, and completed the last missing piece of your puzzle.

But in the sea of 7 billion people, what do you think are your chances of finding your one true soul mate?

If you ask me, well after the almost infinite years of searching, the traffic, scams, and a fat glass of bing-soo, I’m glad I finally found my Seoul-mate.
