Amare La Cucina, Kapitolyo

Cooking rule: If at first you don’t succeed, order pizza.

One of the best pizzas I tasted is that of Amare La Cucina’s. Amare started off as a family business of Edmark Bustos in Baguio but now has a branch in Kapitolyo, Pasig to cater to Manileños.

The home grown pizzeria brings back the customary way of cooking inside a wood-fired brick oven or pugon. What’s more exciting, diners can make and bake their own pizza. I tried and had fun making my own pizza from shaping the dough, putting the tomato sauce,  cheese and toppings, and eventually placing my own creation inside the pugon.
Aside from their pizzas, their pasta and ice creams are the best too!
