They say that a trip to Dumaguete is never complete without dropping by Sans Rival Cakes and Pastries and buying for pasalubong a box or two of silvanas. Owned by the prominent Sagarbarria family, Sans Rival has been making their signature pastries since 1977. Four decades hence and their silvanas and sans rival have become the city’s trademark delicacy as they really taste divine.

Aside from this haven of sweet buttery goodness, their bistro (an old ancestral house converted into a restaurant) is also a must-visit for its attractive colonial style and ambience facing the waterfront.
