Westeroast Café

"Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armour, and it can never be used to hurt you."
- Tyrion Lannister

The wit and wisdom of Tyrion is notable. He is unlike his evil sister, the cunning Cersie who as of the moment sits on the Iron Throne. I wonder if I will I ever see the day when Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons or Jon Snow take and sit on the most coveted throne of the Seven Kingdoms? Shame, shame, shame, naunahan ko pa sila.  I finally got the chance to sit on the Iron Throne! But not in the fictional Westeros but in real Westeroast Café, somewhere near Maginhawa in Quezon City.

Westeroast is a play on words (or word rather) for Westeros, the continent setting of George R.R. Martin’s The Game of Thrones.  The cafe conceptualized and run by six millennial GOT die-hard fans, caters to coffee lovers and GOT fanatics. It serves budget-friendly comfort food and features a lot of interesting thingamabobs from my all-time-favorite series such as GOT books and board game, house banners (always loyal to House Stark), Westeros puzzle, Hodor’s door sign, Night King pen holder, dragon egg, Jon Snow funko pop, and replicas of the “Hall of Faces” (which houses skinned faces of the dead) and the Iron Throne (a throne made from the swords surrendered by the enemies of the first king Aegon I Targaryen).

Winter has come and HBO just confirmed that there will be multiple main character deaths in the series finale. My heart is already breaking.
