“I decided to
give life one more chance…”
I’m down to the
last episode of this controversial teen
series and I couldn’t bear to watch when the protagonist’s inner demons had
completely taken control over her life, broken her very soul. She made her
death her last project. “You’ll learn to
live without me. Like I had to live without you.” That was like the secondary
message she wanted to convey. But her action almost shattered a boy who wishes
he still had one more chance to make things right for this girl who still owns
every piece, every fragment of his broken heart even if she’s no longer around.
This story is
provocative, significant and depressing… I needed another one that is the complete opposite. Perhaps Stories
by Lilypad will do. Though it is not really a series but an ancestral house
turned all-day breakfast restaurant and café in the famed Times Street in
Quezon City (the street where former President Noynoy Aquino lives).
Matcha latte
Kuya Cesar salad with grilled chicken
Sausage and garlic pasta
Create your own platter breakfast
Dark chocolate ganache
Vanilla bongo
Food is good, as
expected. Ambiance quaint and casual. The teacup fountain is lovely and
whimsical. And perfect time to go is 7 am weekend when most people are still in
bed, sound and safe. Sometimes I need a quiet place to process some things. But first “The way we treat each other and
look out for each other. It has to get better somehow."
