Nadal Castle

The newest attraction of Numancia, Aklan is a quaint modern castle. Plus a pool and jacuzi. Minus dungeons and dragons.

Or else it really would be weird to see some dragons swimming in a pool.

Shangri-la Boracay

For a poor small town boy like me, Shangri-la is jaw-dropping dead gorgeous.

Overnight rate: $$$$ (gold bars not accepted hehe).

So this is the cherry to my 2010.

Happy new year everyone!

Batan, Aklan

I don’t know much about this place.
But I know once upon a time,
my parents got secretly married here.

I don’t know where my story will end.
But I know this is where it all started.

Rustan’s Great Holiday Expectations

See, even the lights
won’t stop from shining
for just one broken heart.

A visit from Mischa

Baby save your heart someday
for someone who cares.

I just noticed you already
have a cleavage. Haha.

White Corals, Morong, Bataan

Smile.
Nobody gets smitten
with an un-smiley face.

That’s the theory; in practice, my smile waived my entrance fee to this charming and relaxing resort.

My diet is now officially on Christmas break

Of course nobody wants
to make friends with pigs.
But who can resist lechon
or crispy pata for that matter?

This is not an early summer outing.

10 Things I Love About the 2010 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas

1. The seat of power.

2. Getting up close with P-noy and more up close and personal with some of the most outstanding overseas Pinoys.

3. The beautiful paintings.

4. Chef Gaita Fores’ Inihaw of Bone-In US Prime Tenderloin.

5. Meeting Justice Secretary Leila De Lima.

6. Seeing the Christmas tree and feel like child again.

7. Finally meeting Dawn and (my no. 1 Presidential bet) international bag designer Rafe Totengco.

8. Loitering in Malacanang playground.

9. Meeting (my no. 2 Presidential bet) Lilibeth Navarro who taught me that disability is relative.

10. And just being with the sentinels, the people who did the dirty and not-so dirty works to make the Presidential Awards a success and a memorable night for the awardees, the secretariat – my friends. A pat on the back and a cup of Starbucks coffee for all of you guys.

I think I could now revive my dying social life.
